Six extensive skiing areas with a total of 51 lifts to an altitude of up to 2,700 m. Over 200 km of slopes, including deep snow and mogul pistes, half pipes and fun parks, mean no end of variety and put winter sport in Gastein into a class of its own.
The valley is home to the following ski resorts: Schlossalm-Stubnerkogel, Dorfgastein-Großarl, Graukogel and Sportgastein. The high altitude and widespread use of snow cannons means these resorts tend to stay open while others close due to a lack of snow.

There´s now a new Fun Centre located at the Stubnerkogel cable car station where kids and teenagers can enjoy many hours of entertainment (with children´s cinema, fun area, playroom and videogames). There´s even unlimited Internet access!
